It can be played as soon as the proficiency certificate ("Platzreife") is passed, giving beginners and less experienced players a first sense of achievement.

The distance from tee to pin varies from 156m to 341m. By comparison, men playing off the white tee on the longest hole on the 18-hole course have 528m between them and the flag!
The elaborate construction of the greens means that the course can be played all year round using the summer greens.
Of particular interest for beginners are the open handicap competitions that take place twice a month for so-called "Platzreifler", golfers who have recently passed their proficiency certificate and have not yet achieved a 36 handicap.
